With the heart in Emilia and the mind always somewhere else, especially between the streets and the coffee shops of London, I work as a graphic designer and illustrator. I have lived in London between 2008 and 2009, where I have achieved the MA in Graphic Design Communication at Chelsea College of Art and Design. Thanks to my research on the food and its rituals I have built my own methodology and I began to investigate the world of food, which I look at from a ordinary, esthetic and convivial point of view. In the same years, with a group of friends, I have co-founded La Papilla Brilla, a project that keeps on shining especially for its festival Food Immersion, a recurring event on food and creativity.
Beside the tasted, told and illustrated food I love children’s books, vintage typography and homemade screen printing. I collaborate with food start-ups in the creation of new visual identities, with companies and organizations on visual storytellings, with friends and collaborators, and steadily with the publishing house ZOOlibri, on editorial projects. I teach Basic Design at Scuola Internazionale di Comics and I hold workshop on visual communication for other organizations, like Arci, DB Formazione Professionale, IFOA, Centro Studi e Lavoro La Cremeria.
Always ready to encounter new people to share experiences with, especially if the table is set, I prefer the slow and creative breakfasts, like those around the Bread and Jam table at Monmouth, a cozy coffee shop in the heart of Borough Market in London, where I could enjoy fresh bread and tasty jam and give space to my thoughts.
