Welcome to Bread and Jam Studio
My name is Lucia Catellani, graphic designer and illustrator
As graphic designer, I design unique solutions to all things related to food, culture and publishing, including brand identity for restaurants and shops, food packaging and other materials for online and offline communication.
As illustrator, I draw food, lettering, maps and other micro worlds, for advertising and publishing projects, primarily working on digital media, often with an analog touch and attention to details.
Very often graphic design and illustration weave together and being able to master both the languages I believe is a great opportunity for me as well as for the client.
I teach among the graphic design program at Scuola Internazionale di Comics in Reggio Emilia and I hold illustration and visual communication workshops for other organizations like Arci or IFOA.
Online and offline advertising campaign
Lucia is a pleasure to work with; she is always striving to produce the best work, she communicates so well and she is always on top of her projects. I would always recommend her to my clients – she has only been with us for a short while but is already very in demand. Her illustrations always surprise and delight myself and my clients.
Working with Lucia is truly inspiring. She has a creative and modern approach, always kind and present, never opinionated. She listens to you and tries to grasp and enhance the mission of your company, without wanting to override but always providing a very constructive and new side view. In the case of Stria, she got it right and figured out where (and to whom) we wanted to go. It is a pleasure to work with her, and I will certainly continue to do so if the opportunity arises.
We asked Lucia to help us convey all our passion for the West Coast. The result was perfect on the first try, from the logo to the brand identity. Every element, icon, color screamed California! Even today, many years after, our costumers claim: "Whoever designed this place, it's beautiful!". So, what can I say, thank you Lucia!
The request to Lucia was precise: Viva Nachos visual identity - from the logo to the graphics in the store - had to evoke a world of cultural and food values at the crossroads between Italy and Mexico without the use of stereotypes or direct references. The aim was to get an image with a strong impact, but stable and not affected by premature wear over time. Years later, we believe the result has been brilliantly achieved, as customers and visitors to our stores spontaneously testify to us.
